Sacred Four

Sacred Four is the four trees found in the very center of Glaciel. The temperature here is mostly affected by the time of the year and kept stable; the only place in Glaciel where seasons make sense because the Moon Shard is just at the right angle in the sky. On each tree, which are pine, is the symbol for each pack depending on which direction that tree faces. This place is often used for peaceful meeting and general thoughts amongst the wolves themselves. However, this place may also be dangerous for the Rogi and Assassins that walk it, along with predators, so it has it's pros and cons.

The She-wolf continued watching the two wolves interact together in silence. "His name is...Coal, I think." Lydda hadn't seen him or any other packs for moons probably. "Is he inviting Arraine because he likes her, or does Somaria really need wolves?" Lydda herself lived in Normaria, which was almost always the smallest pack of the four. She was slightly uncomfortable about being around so many wolves. The She-wolf cocked her head, and wondered when Kaine was going to lead them back.

Amber growled at the wolf who was exiled as she did at her."Traitor" she mouthed as a new wolf approached. He was Domini and Amber didn't like so many of them around in one area. It was possible it could get quite ugly. The female snarled and scooted closer to Phantom where she knew she would be most safe. She decided that for a while, she would watch and listen to the wolves who currently spoke. Coal, as the Somaria Domini was named, seemed to be quite taken to Arraine. "Ew." Amber mumbled with disgust.

Coal waited patiently, if not a little intimidated by Arraines sudden outburst by Amber insult before he spoke up."Now, now, don't be so harsh. There is no need to argue." He tried to be reasonable. He glanced at Arraine and motioned with his tail as he stood that she should follow him up to the top of the great bowl, away from such frustrations."Come. There has been enough drama for one day." He trotted up the slope, whether she followed him or not.

Lydda watched Coal, as he began to pad away from them. "We should be heading back soon too," she thought, but didn't say. It was not her place to tell the Domini of her pack, unless obviously, Kaine asked her opinion. The Westeria wolves still seemed irritable, but they were known to her as slightly more aggressive. Especially with their new leader.
Something then grabbed the She-wolf's attention. Lydda wasn't really sure what it could be, but she felt something. A shadow? A shift in the wind? She didn't know. A sudden chill ran up her spine, and she spiked her fur in fear. "Something's near," she said softly to her Domini.

Kaine chuckled over Lyddas' questions. The female was so amusing after all."I think he is..."Kaine chimed in. She watched as Coal retreated to the upper cliffs of the bowl."I think we should head up that way as well."Kaine suggested with a lesser pleasing tone. She wanted to stay, but the darkening day was proving that the trek home would not be pleasant. It was almost winter after all."Come, we will spend the night up high and watch the stars tonight with guides watching over us." Kaine led the way towards the top of the bowl. Once at the top, she settled on her side and gazed up at the sunset above them.

Not far from the Earth, hovers a cluster of Meteorites. They are pieces of the very meteor that destroyed the moon decades before. Of the cluster, fate has decided that one meteorite smashes into another, causing its orbit to shift slightly so that it catches in the very atmosphere of earth. Headed for the Earth itself, the meteor can be seen as a spec.

The Spirits discuss their very decision on what is to happen. There is disagreement until one spirit makes the suggestion to unite the packs in such a way that they are not bound physically, but spiritually. They would protect one thing. The Sacred circle was drawn and therefore the fate of Glaciel was set.

Setting the scene! Be ready, everyone!

Coal watched as Arraine took her place beside him. Suddenly, she had nudged him in the side and he jumped slightly, looking at her curiously.'Look!' He saw that she gazed up at the sky and not at him. He looked up-And narrowed his eyes to see better. At first, he didn't know what it was. It was dark and moving towards them. "You are seeing things, Arraine. That is probably just a bird."He watched the shape for a while longer, then looked away, not wanting to believe his own gut.

Amber growled at the Arraine and made crude faces at her back as Coal led the female away. Amber snorted then and turned to Phantom, snatching her shoulder in her mouth, dragging him to the top while saying unintelligible words with fur in her mouth."Stuhid feale!Cm on, les get going."At the top, she released her Domini and spat strings of fur from her muzzle."GROSS!" Then she heard Arraine shout and the grouchy female turned her head to see that she and her Domini were both looking at the sky. Curious, Amber looked up to see the giant shadow barreling towards them. To her it wasn't a shadow though. She could see the yellow streak of light in the back from her angle. She gasped and looked down at four tress and then quickly back up.'My god...' She can't speak. Suddenly however she shouts, "ITS A METEOR!" To Ambers horror, Arraine had gone back down into the bowl."GET OUT OF THERE ARRAINE!" Amber barked.

Kaine heard the whisper of Lydda, saying something was coming. It was after she had said such a thing and Kaine reached the top of the Bowl, that Kaine looked up at the night drawing sky and saw that a great shadow barreled towards them. Kaine tilted her head in curiosity."What on earth-" She lost her statement when Amber shouted from atop her spot of the bowls mouth.'ITS A METEOR'. Kaine gasped."What?" She glanced at the female afar then heard her bark,'ARRAINE GET OUT OF THERE!' Kaine watched in horror as Arraine ran for the wall, but Kaine knew she wouldn't make it out in time for the impact."Run!"Kaine screamed as loud as she could, but it made no difference, the Meteor was on top of them.

Heat build as the Meteor draws closer to the earth. Its target is inevitably clear that four trees would be hit. Pieces fly from home and the orange and yellow flames turn white halfway from its target.

Halfway...

Westeria Spirit: 'We can't prevent this'
Somaria Spirit: 'I know'
Nomaria Spirit: 'We will need to prepare for our future meetings with the packs, Westeria'
Westeria Spirit: All in due time, Nomaria...'
Easteria Spirit: 'Glaciel will heal, just as all living things do. Let us be there when the suffering starts.
All: 'Agreed'

Upon impact: Disaster. Earth explodes in a fury of dust, dirt, twigs, trees, and fire. The impact can be seen from all areas of Glaciel, no matter how far away. The shock wave of debris and destruction stretches beyond the bowl itself halfway across the Narmada land, leaving the land the likeness of nothing but a graveyard for trees and an eternal cloud of dust to forever mark the destruction of the meteorite.
The bowl itself is is nothing but dust, dirt, and debris. The only thing left standing in it is a single tree marked with the four symbols for each pack, each of the spirits; each facing he direction of the destined pack they stand for.

Everyone chooses where their characters are at this point. Nothing unnatural though^^ EX: Your character is up in a tree. Otherwise, choose your injuries and things like that! Hope you enjoyed the sneak peak at what your spirits generally sound like. They have no official names yet^^

Coal starts to protest as Arraine decides to investigate the large object from a different angle. He growls in irritation before hearing a loud cry from the westeria witch from afar. A meteor? Coal stands, ready to dive down to ward Arraine. His jaws open to shout out to her, but Amber is ahead of him. As the winds pick up, he caught a glimpse of Kaine shouting something when he glanced in her direction, but he could hear nothing. Coal sees it impossible to go down into the bowl, and after a moment, time slows to a crawl. Upon impact of the meteor Coal sees his last glimpse of Arraine just as she makes it to the wall in time to be showered with debris. Coal opens his jaws in a shout, fangs bared, but then he too is bombarded by the impact.
The blow of heat and debris sends him flying into a tree, uprooting it with the help of the blast. Coal grunts and eventually slams shoulder first into the ground, sliding until his shoulder catches on a stick that digs into his flesh, causing the wolf to writhe onto his other side whining and yelping.
When things settle, Coal finds himself in an unfamiliar place, one of dust and ash falling from the sky. With an effort, he stands. The stick is still in his shoulder. Pain was unbearable while he struggled to stay standing and limp to the bowls edge. Coals pelt has been drenched smokey black from all of the dust. Reaching the bowl, he peered down below to see Arraine dodging pieces of rock that had broken off from the meteor.
With an effort, Coal took the stick from his should, it was no less painful than a possible broken bone. He dropped the stick from his mouth and hopped down to Arraine. Halfway down he called out to her."Arraine up here!" Going down on three legs was no easy task. He paused to see if she had heard him.

Kaine had enough time to duck, but not enough time to get out of the way. A bright light emerged from the bowl when she looked away to avoid seeing Arraines possible death. Suddenly, a shower of dust, debris, and heat, overtook Kaine and sent the young she wolf flying to her side. Her eyes had been open, and that was a grave mistake.
Upon hitting the ground, Kaine slid slightly until her back hit a large boulder, pain rocketing through her spine. The wind was knocked clean out of her and for a long while, she was in a subconscious state. When she regained consciousness, Kaine tryied to move, but the pain in her back kept her from doing so. She hoped it wasn't broken...

Coal watched Arraine struggle, feeling a pain as he did. He took a small step towards her when she fell from an attempt to stand. He watched with pain-slitted eyes as she took a piece of wood from her side. He waited for her approach him and nodded to her question."A deep flesh wound. Might scar, but I'll live." He nodded to her side."And you?" Then he shook his head at her."Don't answer until we get up top so you can rest."He turned with pain, gritting his teeth when pain rocketed through his leg from his shoulder."Come on."

Arraine could see the pain in Coal's eyes as much as it showed in hers “Well I'm not not dead." She gives a half hearted smile she limps up to what was left of the ledge they had been on “By the way that was so not a bird!" She says in an attempt to lighten the mood. The blood flowing from the wound had stained her dark pelt a crimson color. Then she saw the nomaria domini on the ground she forgets her own injuries for a moment and goes to her side “Are you alright, what hurts? She ask franticly. As soon as she says this the events of the day flash through her mind as shock begins to set in she staggers backwards. Arraine tried to focus on anything but she couldn't her vision blurred her heart hammered in her ears with each rapid breath.

Coal chuckled at Arraines reply and he smiles back at her, forgetting the pain for that moment just to smile."I know." Coal replied to the unconscionable joke Arraine tried to make. Coal prepares to say more but Arraine had left his side. Not far from him, the dark figure of a wolf lay nearby. Coal limped to Arraines side, surprised she could even get this far on her side injury. Coals' shoulder burned with pain, but as he realized who lay before him, he was instantly surprised. It was the Nomarian Domini, unconscious and injured. Arraine had tried to talk to her."She is unconscious."He said told her seriously. He wondered where everyone else had gone. "We should search the area for others." He suggests, glancing around the area briefly."See if you can rouse her, I will have a look around." He heads off to search around the area, disappearing into the mist.

Arraine tried to regain control of herself but darkness swan at the edges of her vision Coal's voice swam in and out of her head. She did as Coal told her to do and searched for other wolves she made it a few steps before she felt her legs buckle the darkness nearly covered her sight. “Coal......" she whispers then all she knew was the dark. Her body make a dull thud as she hit the ground her only movement being the occasional twitch of her injured leg and the ragged breaths she drew.

Amber couldn't breathe the moment the Meteor hit. Phantom disappeared from view and the female didn't have enough time to dodge the rock that slammed into her rear. Amber yelped the moment she hit the ground on her shoulder and slid till she slowed to a stop yards from the impact site. When the flaming hot winds subdued, Amber felt bruised on her flank but she was somehow unscathed. The female awoke to choking on the foul smelling air the explosion had created. Amber thought to move to a different area, but she needed to see if she could find the others. Looking around, Amber found two forms lying unconscious on the ground on the Somarian side of the bowl. She approached them and found that they were the Somarian traitor, as she called Arraine now, and the Nomarian Domini. Amber glanced around, smelling the sent of Coal, his soot paw prints led Eastward. Amber knew these wolves must have suffered pain and lack of being able to breathe. She tried to rouse the Somarian wolf first, nudging her muzzle with her nose."Get up. The air here is toxic. We need to leave this place until the smoke clears." Then she went to the Nomarian female, saw her injuries, and thought better to move her right now. Amber lowered her head to the level of her body and howled low to see if maybe others would hear her.
